The hotel has a nice lobby and offers movie nights for families, which is a fun touch. Rooms are outdated and have cleanliness issues, with reports of bugs. The carpets feel old and musty. Proximity to attractions is a plus, but the maintenance clearly needs attention.

The lobby is spacious and beautiful. Rooms are outdated and need maintenance. No hot breakfast during my stay. We enjoyed the movie night with popcorn for the kids. AC was noisy, making it hard to sleep well.

Exceptional front desk service. Truly a standout. Wish every hotel staff mirrored that level of professionalism. The breakfast was adequate and the pool was decent, though the amenities need improvement. Our room felt dated, with some maintenance issues, but the history of the place added charm. The missing closet door and mildew in the bathroom? Cleanliness is non-negotiable. I encountered multiple room issues, from air conditioning failures to water pressure discrepancies. Communication faltered at times, creating unnecessary stress during my stay. Despite the challenges, there were enjoyable aspects, particularly the lobby and pet-friendly policy. With a bit more attention to detail, this could reclaim its former splendor.

The location is nice and the movie nights were a fun touch. Indoor pool and spa were closed during our stay.

The room had a stale smell of old smoke. The bed felt hard, and one mattress had a dip that made sleep uncomfortable. The linens were decent but not exemplary. The bathroom was cramped, leaving little room to maneuver. Noise from the hallway was noticeable, impacting relaxation. The common areas were spacious, with a cozy ambiance, but the hallway floors were dirty. I appreciated the reading area filled with Civil War books, which provided a pleasant escape. cleanliness throughout the facility was lacking, raising concerns about the overall comfort of the accommodations.

Fort Magruder offers a spacious suite and is ideally situated just 8 minutes from Busch Gardens and near various dining options. The friendly staff enhances the experience, and amenities like a coffee bar make mornings enjoyable. some facilities felt outdated and could use improvement.

So, my experience at Fort Magruder Historic Williamsburg was quite a mix of highs and lows. First off, the ironing facilities were a lifesaver for me as I like to keep my clothes looking sharp during my travels. It was convenient to have that option available in the room. I did encounter some issues with the heating and air conditioning. The room was either too hot or too cold, and I couldn't seem to find a comfortable temperature. One thing I did appreciate was having tea and coffee facilities in the room. It's always nice to be able to make a hot cup of tea or coffee whenever you want. On the flip side, the sitting area could have been more comfortable. The furniture seemed a bit worn out and not very cozy to relax in. I did enjoy spending time on the terrace, soaking in the atmosphere and enjoying the view. It was a nice spot to unwind after a day of exploring. The free Wi-Fi in the rooms was also a plus, making it easy for me to stay connected. On the downside, I noticed that the garden furniture could use some updating. It looked a bit weathered and not very inviting to sit on. the lack of an AM/FM alarm clock in the room was a bit inconvenient for me as I rely on it to wake up in the mornings. In terms of services, I found the dry cleaning and housekeeping to be satisfactory. the laundry facilities could use some improvement. It would have been helpful to have better access to clean clothes during my stay. All in all, my time at Fort Magruder Historic Williamsburg had its ups and downs. There were some aspects that I really enjoyed, but there were also areas that could definitely be enhanced for a more comfortable stay.

From the moment I stepped outside, I was thrilled by the proximity to so many incredible attractions, including Busch Gardens which is just a short walk away, and the beautiful Colonial Williamsburg, only around 2 km from the hotel; not to mention, I enjoyed the amazing pools and a lovely continental breakfast, along with the welcoming staff who made the experience even better! While the hotel had some room for improvement, like better maintenance of outdoor areas, my overall experience was filled with delightful exploration and comfort.

The slippery tubs made me nervous, especially after my hip replacement. Seriously, it was just not safe or comfortable at all.

The location was superb, right near all the attractions in historic Williamsburg, VA. Plenty of restaurants and shops nearby.
Our experience was not as pleasant as we had hoped. The room had maintenance issues, with a malfunctioning shower and drainage problems in the tub.

We had a blast at the thrilling Busch Gardens Williamsburg, with its exciting shows and entertainment options for all ages. The candlelit tour of the historic area was captivating, filled with ghostly tales from costumed guides. It was the perfect addition to our family getaway, creating unforgettable memories in a fun and engaging environment.
For dads it would be great if there were more kid-friendly breakfast options.

The pools are well-kept and perfect for a refreshing dip. The breakfast area is inviting and the staff exude warmth and friendliness while serving up a decent spread.
Unfortunately, the hallways are in desperate need of some TLC.

The kids had a blast at the indoor pool and the breakfast was solid with eggs and waffles. Staff was super nice and quick to help when we needed extra towels.
It wasn’t inexpensive, but it was worth it for the good time we had.

The lobby has a nice appearance, but the cleanliness of the hallways and rooms was disappointing. We were shocked to find cockroaches, not just in our room but also in the hallway, which made the stay uncomfortable. The indoor pool was unexpectedly closed for renovations, creating a frustrating situation with our kids in swimsuits. Despite the issues, the location is fantastic, sandwiched between major attractions, and a sweet upgrade made our room spacious. It could be a good option for budget travelers, but they need to address cleanliness and communication better.

The combination of history and modern amenities was exciting. Visiting the Governor's Palace made me feel like a time traveler. The city's blend of past and present was truly captivating.
Dealing with the pool's nose-blowing teens became my unexpected highlight of the trip.

The hotel's location was fantastic, just a short drive away from museums, Colonial landmarks, and shopping areas. We loved being able to explore the area effortlessly. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, making our stay much more enjoyable. Plus, the lobby was beautifully decorated, immersing us in the historical atmosphere of the region.
There were a few downsides to our stay. The room we initially checked into had issues with the air conditioning, and the cleanliness left something to be desired with stains and tears in various areas.

We hit up shows at Busch Gardens with crazy stunts and jammed to live music, then did a spooky candlelit tour with chill ghost stories. The theme park was lit - roller coasters on point!
Yo, the one thing we needed was a lit rooftop bar to keep the party vibe going all night long.
